United Way of York County Awards $12,500 to Support Parent and Child Health Services
HomeHealth Visiting Nurses received a one-year grant totaling $12,500 from United Way of York County. These funds will support services for medically fragile children coping with serious and sometimes life-limiting illnesses.
United Way of Greater Portland Awards $86,430 to Support Essential Home Health Care
HomeHealth Visiting Nurses received two significant one-year grants totaling $86,430 from United Way of Greater Portland. These funds will support charity care for both medically fragile children and adults who require home health services but lack insurance and/or financial resources to pay for care.
HomeHealth Visiting Nurses is the recipient of a $23,400 grant from the Sam L. Cohen Foundation to support the development of a home-based palliative care program for medically fragile children.

The John T. Gorman Foundation has awarded a $25,000 grant to HomeHealth Visiting Nurses (HHVN) to develop highly specialized social work and advocacy services for children and families coping with the challenges of cancer.
HHVN's nurse Greg Burns was nominated as a top 10 finalist for Home Care & Hospice Nurse of the Year!
Although Greg was not selected at the winner by the committee from the National Association of Home Care and Hospice (NAHC), we are still so very proud to have him on our Team! Greg is a highly specialized pediatric nurse who leads the Pediatric Palliative Care Program.
